All you need is HOPE!

Things have changed a bit in 3 years. Ruby and Rails have made significant progress yet they are no longer at the hype and high of 3 years ago. Rumors/articles/writings about Rails scalability issues have seemingly done some serious damages to its rise.
Python continues to gain some good growth though the graph has started to level out. Meanwhile, Perl has stayed in the background but quietly made some good progress: Catalyst has become a very capable web framework (performance-wise even much more impressive than Rails and Django). Moose, the Object-Oriented framework inspired by Perl 6, has made its way into Perl 5 as a de facto object system. Rakudo, an implementation of Perl 6 on Parrot virtual machine, inches slowly but surely to its 1.0 release. Though not at production level yet, Rakudo offers a nice environment to test out Perl 6. You all should try it out - just to learn Perl 6 and you'll be amazed by it. IMO, one should not give out judgement before giving the subject some exploration.

You never know!

All you need is HOPE!
